While the device is being installed you will be fully instructed and trained on the proper use and operation of the device. We will answer all your questions and concerns and answer them in a respectful and confidential manner. Click here to view all Program Fees and Charges.

The device draws a small portion of your breath into a fuel cell sensor. Any alcohol present chemically reacts with the sensor producing electricity which is precisely measured and translated into an equivalent blood alcohol concentration (BAC). If the result of your test is below the lockout point an encrypted signal is sent to a relay, which will allow your vehicle to be started. If the test result is too high then the vehicles ignition system will remain locked.

The handset is temporary mounted to the vehicles dashboard within easy reach of the driver. There is no drilling or permanent connection made in the vehicle dash. After the device is removed the vehicles wiring connections are returned to normal.

Will it effect the operation of the vehicle?
|
|
|
Under ordinary use, a properly installed device, will not drain or damage your battery or the cars' electric system, nor interfere with the normal operation of your vehicle in any way. When the vehicle is not running the device draws less current than the clock in your car. Prior to the installation a qualified technician will inspect both the mechanical and electrical systems of your vehicle to insure the vehicle, at that time, is capable of supporting the proper function of the Ignition Lock-out device.
Once installed, the device regularly monitors and records battery voltage and cranking power. The power light will flash if the device detects that the cars' battery voltage is low, warning you that the vehicles electrical system my need repair. At no time will the device shut the vehicle off. It will only prevent the vehicle from starting.
